CORNBOARD – HOW TO PLAY
Place the two boards facing one another so the holes are 33 ft. apart. If this seems too far simply put them at a distance you are comfortable with . (With single board play put a marker on the ground at a distance suitable for the age and ability of the players.)
Players stand either side of the board and take alternate throws trying to land their bags on the platform at the other end. In doubles play partners will be at opposite ends of the court and will toss the bags back in the other direction.
After all 8 bags are tossed, any that passed through the hole score 3pts and any remaining on the platform deck score 1pt.
The player with the higher score adds that number of points to their total minus the points scored by their opponent.
e.g. black 5pts red 3pts……black scores 2.
Gather up all the bags and play back in the opposite direction. The player who scored in the previous frame pitches first in the next one. If no-one scored, the player who threw first previously pitches second in the next frame.
The first player to exactly 21pts is the winner , but the game cannot end until the other player has had the chance to pitch all his remaining bags in that frame! If your score is over 21 after all bags have been tossed your score is reduced back to 11.
